This is the terran campaign of the StarCraft: Brood War game. Full details are in StarCraft Episode V. The player character joined the United Earth Directorate Expeditionary Fleet, assigned to subdue the terran worlds in this sector, but their high-handed actions quickly make enemies of the various zerg and protoss factions as well.

- Overview Terran is often described as the hardest race for beginners. This reputation is mainly based on the fact that Terran units die rather fast in the early stages of games against the other units, which in turns forces a Terran player to control the units with care.
- Brood War takes place in the StarCraft universe, set around the early 26th century. Terran exiles from Earth have colonized a distant area of the Milky Way galaxy called the Koprulu Sector, having established several governments. Eventually, a civil war breaks out and ends with the formation of the Terran Dominion.
- Today's update brings in new campaign, as well as several new features on pervious missions, listed below: Brood War Zerg Campaign 'The Steel Claw': added. Zerg 10: Spore Cannon now can fire upon air targets with unlimited range. Changed several dialogue lines for consistency. XTerran 5: Enemy forces color changed to fit with The Steel Claw.
StarCraft: Brood War Advanced warfare website. is the expansion for the original StarCraft campaign and features 3 new episodes involving the Protoss, Terran and Zerg. It takes place just after the end of the original campaign when the Zerg Overmind was destroyed. There are new tech advancements such as anti-air attack range upgrades for the Goliath, at least 2 new units for each race, new music and new tilesets.
For the first campaign you'll control the Protoss as they flee their homeworld and look for another world to colonize. The Terran campaign features a new faction called the United Earth Directorate as they leave Earth and attempt to take over parts of the galaxy. The last campaign focuses on Kerrigan as she attempts to gain control over all of the Zerg.

StarCraft: Brood War is the second expansion for StarCraft and was released in 1998 for Windows and Mac OS. The first expansion, Insurrection, was widely critised for not measuring up to the quality of the original game and is therefore not widely known.
The remastered version of Brood War was released in August 2017 and is available from the Blizzard website. It's centered around the three species of the StarCraft universe, the Zerg, Protoss and Terran races.
